Having graduated initially from the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra, Liz then went on to obtain a UK law degree followed by a Masters Degree with merit from the University of London in Commercial and Corporate Law.
Liz was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1990 and was enrolled as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 2002. She is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London.
Her extensive and diverse experience includes application of the principles of commercial and corporate law, particularly in the areas of contracts and public procurement within the legal framework of European Union Regulations.

In addition, Liz has expertise in drafting IT contracts, complex social care and specialist agency agreements, secondment agreements and service level agreements involving government agencies, as well as consultancy agreements involving the provision of Biodiversity studies, urban characterisation studies and a Green Infrastructure Plan within the south eastern area of the UK.
In a different legal field, she has experience in Family Law, particularly in the complex area relating to children. As a member of the Law Society Children Panel, Liz had in recent past participated actively in the protection of children, having often initiated legal action and conducted her own advocacy on behalf of local authorities.
Whilst working in local government she was the lead solicitor, regularly attending and providing comprehensive legal advice to the Adoption Panel within the local authority’s area.
Elizabeth has also often dealt in matters involving international adoption and the application of the international rights of children generally.
